After a short break (three weeks I think), I’m back in the saddle. Did a few hours this afternoon and managed to get the bare bones of the following tracks together. Luminaire, Let It Go, The Fear and All This Love Not a bad catch up and the new mics (AKG C1000s) are working outContinue reading “Getting there…”

Luminaire Demo
This was originally recorded at a friend’s studio back in 2002 or so. Was a great recording but aside from it being used on a few TV shows, I never really did anything with it. Hopefully giving it a proper release this time around. I always liked this one.
Session Three 6/6
The Fear After a few days listening through, I’ve redone the bass and it’s tightened the arrangement up a lot. On to the other parts now we’re getting closer to a goal. Same signal path as previously. Bass, Revox, Desk, Ableton.
Midnight Dial (Piano Demo)
Was originally written and recorded in 2017 as a mid tempo synthwave track. Stripping it back for this project. Actually really like it.
Session Two 4/6
The Fear Not much accomplished this evening. Was really just trying out a few drum arrangements and listening back to takes from the last session. Needs a lot more work before we progress to the next tracking session and move things along. Also thinking about the drum mic plans for this project. Going to tryContinue reading “Session Two 4/6”
Session One 2/6
The Fear Although it was written in 2008 and always had something I liked, I’ve never been able to get a recording right. Now working towards a 1950’s influence with vocal focus and think I’ve made pretty decent start. Bass and some guitar may need rerecording. Signal Path and Instrumentation Silver Series Strat 1 –Continue reading “Session One 2/6”
The Initial List
Played through and think this is the initial song list. There may be a few I’ve forgotten but it’s a start.
An Introduction…
So, after many years of work with Two Ragged Soldiers and other musical projects, I’ve decided to pull some material together and produce an album under my own name. It’s not something I’ve previously given much serious thought to but due to a few chance coincidences, it now feels like the time is right. WithContinue reading “An Introduction…”
